Sewing Vinyl. Vinyl is a synthetic fabric ideal for many different indoor and outdoor sewing projects. The lower gauges, the thinner vinyl fabrics are easy to sew and very flexible.

Sewing with vinyl or laminate fabrics can be tricky!

The stitches should be at. The type of vinyl you’re working with,. To prevent the stitches from pulling and tearing the clear vinyl, adjust your machine to make stitches that are at least 3.0 mm or longer.

Tips and tricks for sewing vinyl walking foot.
Here are 3 helpful tips we use to help make sewing marine vinyl easier. This helps it keep the flat shape that you pressed it. Increase your stitch length when sewing vinyl to keep from perforating the material.
When all your sewing gets completed, put the vinyl over that seat and staple the sides below the wooden frame.
If you’re getting skipped stitches try a micro sharp needle. Complete your sewing and staple the sides. Pulling and/or pushing will leave marks, will weaken and potentially rip the holes in the seam.
